DESCRIPTION:\nThe SECURE Act – Best Ideas We’ve Read\n \nThe SECURE Act (Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement) put into place numerous provisions intended to strengthen retirement security across the country. Given the importance of the SECURE Act and the impact it will have on clients, the Medina County Estate Planning Council board felt it was important to add this topic to the 2020 calendar.\n \nThis important retirement legislation reflects policy changes to defined contribution plans (such as 401(k)s), defined benefit pension plans, individual retirement accounts (IRAs), and 529 college savings accounts. Most provisions in the law went into effect on January 1, 2020.\n \nThe slides used for today's discussion can be found below.\n \nPlease pass the meeting information from the MCEPC [events calendar](https://www.medinacountyepc.org/events) to everyone you think would benefit from learning about the SECURE Act.\n \nLuncheon is free to current members and $25.00 for guests/future members. \n \n\nRSVP to: [MDemczyk@DormanLegacyAdvisors.com ](mailto:MDemczyk@DormanLegacyAdvisors.com)\n \nTo learn more about the benefits of membership please [click here](https://www.medinacountyepc.org/members/benefits) and select from the drop down menu.
